
A new charity, Friends Out There, will be launched at Watford Colosseum (map) on 15 February in a blaze of African dance, music, art, food and other entertainment. The event will include craft stalls, juggling and various workshops for children.
The entertainer Rolf Harris will perform live in support of the charity, which is establishing links between children in the village of Umulogho, Nigeria, and schools in Watford and Bushey. (About Friends Out There).
Rolf said:
‘It's uplifting and inspiring to see young people making connections between Umulogho Village, Nigeria and Watford through the medium of art. A picture tells a thousand words and I've been touched by the paintings that have been created and the stories they tell. I wish Friends Out There every success. I’m sure they will achieve a great deal’.
